Legendary visually impaired singer, Stevie Wonder has announced his intentions to relocate to Ghana permanently.

He told Oprah Winfrey on her ‘The Oprah Conversation’ show that his decision was because he did not want his descendants to have to deal with racism in the United States, where he is based.

The 22-times Grammy award-winning musician, born Stevland Hardaway Judkins said: “I want to see the nation smile again, and I want to see it before I move to Ghana,” he told Oprah. “I’m going to do that. I’m going to move permanently to Ghana”.

“Because I don’t want to see my children’s children’s children’s have to say ‘Oh please, like me. Please respect me. Please value me. What kind of sh*t is that?” the 70-year-old, who has been in Ghana on several occasions added.
