The communications director for the Film producers Association of Ghana, (FIPAG), Mr. Mawule Ekpe Peter, also known as “Abro”, has described the two giant political parties in Ghana, the NPP and NDC, as “Birds with the same furthers”, they can never be trusted.
Mawule was commenting on the Manifesto launched by these parties ahead of 2020 general election, on their bounty and lucrative plans for the creative art industry in the country, if given the nod.
The NDC has promised over 17 projects for the industry, whiles the ruling New Patriotic Party has also promised equally convincing projects for the industry if given the chance.
According to Abro in an exclusive interview with the Host of OTEC FM’s entertainment show, “ANOKYEKROM”, Miss. Linda Oppong, he said, these parties have consistently deceiving us, they always promise to help the industry, but when we support them to get power, they ignore us.
“The most annoying one is what the vice President of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Dr. Bawumia said, when he was talking about their completed projects since assuming office.
He said they have fully completed movie thearter in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi but he (Abro) as the PRO for the Association, doesn’t know where the alleged project is situated.
The NDC also did same to the industry when they were on power, we cannot point on one fully completed project they promised in their previous Manifesto.
“But one thing they are not recognising is that, the industry has created a lot of employment for the youth in the country which has reduced the burden on the government over unemployment complains, and at the same time, selling the rich caulture of the country to the foreign Land”,he lamented.
