Isaac Kobina Zakk, manager of late highlife musician Anokye Supremo who died while undergoing a brain tumor surgery in India, has revealed that Anokye gave him a message before he was taken to the theatre for the surgery.

Speaking via a telephone conversation on Onua FM’s Anigye Mmre on Saturday, Isaac Kobina Zakk revealed that before Anokye was taken to the theatre, he told him “he has a song he wants to sing so I should record the message in the song. And it says “Take your country Ghana, a country that does not offer support”.

According to Isaac, he asked Anokye Supremo why he sang that song and Anokye replied by saying he doesn’t know if he will make it after the surgery. Isaac said he then encouraged him that he will definitely make it.
He added that Anokye told him to give a message to two other young musicians when he returns to Ghana.

Anokye Supremo travelled to India late last year to undergo a life saving surgery to remove a tumor in his head. He completed the surgery successfully, but fell into come right after the surgery. He later died on the 30th of January, 2019 in coma.
Due to the benevolence of well meaning Ghanaians, all his bills have been paid for and his body will arrive at the Kotoka International Airport on Monday 11th February 2019.
