Why I’ll continue to sponsor Delta, Invisible forces – Ken Agyapong explains

By:brightwebtv.com/bright Agyapong.
Kennedy Agyapong has stated unequivocally he will continue to support the activities pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante groups, the Delta and Invisible Forces once the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to form more vigilante groups in addition to the number they already have.

His argument is that, both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the NDC must agree and disband their vigilante groups if fairness is to be applied but warned that once there are calls for one side to be disbanded, it smacks of unfairness which he will personally resist.

“I will agree for all vigilante groups of both parties to be disbanded but if it is just for those of the NPP, I will continue to support Delta Force in Kumasi and the Invisible Forces in Accra. But to disband Delta Force and Invisible Force and allow the existence of Azorka Boys will not be fair”. He argued.
According to him, the Azorka Boys belonging to the NDC is the methuselah of vigilante groups in Ghana but there appear to be pressure to disband the latest ones aligned to the NPP because of the activities of these groups while there is silence about the pioneers.
“Speak the truth, when were Invisible and the Delta Forces formed? The Azorka Boys dealt with us in 2012 and 2016 and we needed all these groups to defend our people. The police and the military were not on our side. In 2016 President Akufo-Addo was in Sunyani when they were pelting stones into his compound but for these Invisible Forces the issue would have been bloody because they nearly injured the current First Lady ”, he disclosed on a Kumasi-based radio station.
The Assin Central lawmaker admitted the existence of these groups are a threat to the country’s democracy but warned that any attempt to disband one side while the other operates will be fiercely resisted.
Giving the background of involvement of some members of the NDC vigilante groups in the recently held Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election, he revealed that the party trained them and drew some from Azorka Boys and wanted to use the election as a dress rehearsal but the NPP got wind and went in quickly.
“They trained them at White sands to come and foment trouble and drew some from Azorka Boys just for dress rehearsals but the NPP got wind and needed to discipline them to stop their stupidity. If they had succeeded, it would have embolden them for 2020. Once we all agree they are a nuisance, let us collapse all the groups”, he advised.
