Registration exercise: Ursula Owusu urges Ashanti region to register in numbers

Communications Minister, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, is urging all eligible Ghanaian, especially those in the Ashanti region, her party stronghold, to register for the voter ID card to secure their future.

She said president Nana Akufo Addo can only continue to implement good policies for better future of the country if the electorates give him another four year mandate through voting in the December polls.

The Ablekuma West constituency MP made the appeal in a radio interview on Otec FM’s political show ‘Dwabrem’, hosted by Dr Cash, on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

Her appeal echoed an earlier one made by the President Nana Akufo Addo, urging the sympathizers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to go out and register.

The president said that allow them to exercise their civic responsibilities on 7th December, to elect a government of their choice in a free, fair, peaceful and transparent election.

“Am urging all NPP supporters to go out and register so that you can exercise your civic rights to vote again for Nana Addo to continue his good works for the country. Nana Addo has decisively managed the coronavirus pandemic very well, to the amazing of the international community, therefore, needs more years to accomplish his mission,” she noted.

CONVID-19

Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, admonished the people to observe the safety etiquettes to control and halt the spread of the coronavirus as they go out to observe their daily activities.

She said the only way to defeat the virus “is to regularly wear nose masks, observe social distancing and frequently sanitizing hands and washing hands under running water”.

“If you contract the disease while registering and died, what will be the essence? You cannot vote at the underworld so let’s protect our lives for our families and Nana Addo,” the legislator added.
