The constituency organizer for the New Patriotic Party and Presiding Member for Bosome Freho District, Hon. Patrick Kwaku Boateng on behalf of the party has cautioned their former Member of Parliament, Mrs Joyce Arkoh Dei to stop behaving as if she was still the member of parliament (MP) for the constituency.
He gave the warning when interacting with the media on how the former MP has been going round with other chiefs performing sod cutting ceremony after leaving office.
The former MP recently performed sod cutting ceremony for the construction of Asiwa to Nsueam road.
In reaction to what the presiding Member described as a gross disrespect to the newly sworn in member of parliament, Hon. Akwasi Darko Boateng, the Presiding Member said, Hon. Akwasi Darko Boateng was not happy about the action the former MP took, therefore called on the party hierarchy to call her to order since her actions could endanger the peaceful atmosphere in the constituency.
“We will not sit down for her to disrespect our member of parliament again, if she tries such action again we will show her where the real power lies, you have done your part and the people in the constituency have asked you to sit aside for someone to continue, if you knew you could have done that road, who stopped you from constructing it and now that you have been sacked you are now trying to interrupt the duties of the MP”, he asked.
He stated that, Bosome Freho citizens in general expected a lot from the NPP and the MP, therefore the former MP’s lawlessness and indiscipline behavior would not be accepted anymore.
He therefore appealed to the leadership of the party to call her to order to bring peace in the constituency.
