The overwhelming victory in the just ended simultaneous all time NDC presidential primaries by John Dramani Mahama, has come under criticism by the Deputy Brong Ahafo Regional Youth organizer, Mr Shadrach Abrefa Mensa, claiming that, the Former President who was then an aspirant sabotaged his colleague contestants to win the presidential primaries.
The Deputy Youth Organizer in his vivid accounts said, the Former President did not in away prepare or offer any room for the NDC party leadership especially, his recent losing competitors to compete him under his first term regime as a president.
Mr Abrefa Mensa said, none of the aspirants had the fertile grounds, resources, the ability and the upper hand to compete in the just ended primaries due to the past presidential stamp down by the Former president, John Dramani Mahama which resulted into a landslide margin.
He added that, the primaries were used on the part of the NDC delegates to throw supports and endorse Mahama’s candidature, thus according to him, the NPP didn’t welcome Mahama’s landslide margin with a big blow on the Party.
The Deputy Youth Organizer continued that, the NPP in their past primaries, has experienced a quite a closer margin by the various contenders due to a closer relationship and equal hands between the Party and its Functionaries.
To ensure massive improvement of the NDC party come 2020 general election he advised, the current elected opposition flagbearer to consider Mr Sylvester Mensah as an option for running mate to pull out some votes for the NDC party.
He however doubted if the NDC could come to power anytime soon due to the impact and fundamental strength of Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo’s government.
