A/R: Yaw Danso Retained As DCE for Bosome-Freho With 89% Votes

Assembly Members of the Bosome-Freho District in the Ashanti Region have confirmed the president’s nominee, Hon Yaw Danso as the District Chief Executive for Bosome-Freho.

Hon. Yaw Danso earned renomination in the list of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) finalised by President Akufo-Addo and announced by the Minister of Local Government, Dan Kwaku Botwe.

At the voting to approve his nomination today, Tuesday, September 28 2021, at the Assembly Hall of the District, the Bosome-Freho DCE nominee secured 88.9 % to retain his seat.

Yaw Danso polled 24 out of 27 valid votes cast in a confirmation election and hence, to serve for a second time as DCE for Bosome-Freho.

Out of the 27 Assembly members both elected and appointed who voted, (24)voted YES representing 88.9% while 3 voted NO, representing 11.1%

Nominees are expected to get at least two-thirds ( 2/3 )of the total votes cast to be confirmed.
