Presbyterian Church commissions 6 Ministerial Candidates

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) on Sunday 31st July 2022 commissioned 6 ministerial candidates into the ordained ministry of the Church to serve the Church and help revive faith of members.

 

The new ministers were trained under the Special Ministerial Training (SMT) programme of the Church at the Ramseyer Training Centre, (RTC) Abetifi Kwahu in the Eastern Region, based on which the General Assembly Council of the PCG expressed satisfaction at their work and approved their commissioning.

 

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG, the Rt. Rev Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante administered the Ministerial vows to the newly commissioned ministers. He was assisted by the Clerk of the General Assembly of the PCG, Rev Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor and some General Assembly Council members.

Preaching the sermon, Rev Dr Kwabena Opuni Frimpong former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana cautioned Ministers of the Gospel to lead lives worthy of their calling and admonished the newly commissioned ministers to exhibit a character and demeanor that reflect Christ. He also charged them to be proud of the Church.

Appreciation
A representative of the commissioned ministers, Rev. Emmanuel Tetteh, lauded the General Assembly, Presbyteries and the various congregations of the PCG and the family members of the ministers for supporting their studies.
