The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has directed its members to stay away from work following its declaration of indefinite strike against the government beginning Wednesday, November 13, 2019.

General Secretary of JUSAG, Derrick Annang, giving reasons for the strike, revealed that its numerous calls for a salary review by the government for its members had fallen on deaf ears.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Wednesday, Mr Annang said his outfit had written series of letters to the Ministry of Finance demanding salary negotiations, but the Ministry declined, a situation he described as unfair treatment from the government to its members.

He added that the Association vehemently disagrees with the position taken by the government, hence the indefinite strike.

“JUSAG is left with no other option than to declare an indefinite strike action and we shall observe the above directives without fail,” he said.
