A Father of five children and a teacher at Ave – Ave – Afiadengyiba RC basic school Mr. Venunye Dordor has allegedly drowned his three biological children in a water reservoir at Ave-Afiadenyigba in the Akatsi North District in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The man is suspected to be mentally unstable and after a misunderstanding with his wife, allegedly three his children into the reservoir, after which he attempted to kill himself.

The children include  two boys and a girl aged  four, nine and eleven years respectively. The wife of the man is alleged to be residing in Anloga.

Mr. Isaac Sowu Newton who is the Assembly Member for the area explained that he received distressed calls from the residents in the area about the incident. They however called the Ave – Dakpa police who came for the bodies of the children from the reservoir and conveyed them to the St. Anthony Hospital morgue at Dzodze for preservation and autopsy.

Tha Father of the children had been taken in by the police to assist them with their investigations. He concluded that the police will come out with their findings at the appropriate time
