An Official of the Narcotics Control Commission has revealed how a busted Ghanaian drug baron literally broke down in tears at the Kotoka International Airport amidst pleas to them to help beg for the forgiveness of his wife and children.
The unnamed drug lord according to Director of Enforcement (Supply Reduction) Narcotics Control Commission, Mr. Solomon Stanley Eyo was travelling to the USA but kept some of the contraband goods in his luggage which was found out.
“There are cases where these drug barons don’t let their children know what they are doing. Some wives don’t know what their husbands are doing. I remember there was a time when a husband, wife and children were travelling to the States and the husband was arrested with drugs in his luggage. When he was arrested do you know what he said? He knelt down pleading with us to ask the wife for forgiveness for what he has done. He wasn’t bothered about the arrest”, he revealed at a public event covered by MyNewsGh.com.
According to him, this was so because the man concealed his criminal activities from his immediate family until the day of his arrest at the Kotoka International Airport.
“The wife never knew what he was doing and that is very wicked. Precious lives being lost. I am not a woman but I have two sons and I know how painful it is”, he stressed.
Mr. Solomon Stanley Eyo added that no responsible parent will expose his children to drugs except the wicked and selfish ones like the drug lords who will do so in the interest of their clandestine agenda.
