They suspect allegedly stabbed his colleague student in the ribs during an altercation on campus last Friday (5 November)

The family of Larhan Sam’un, the slain first-year student of the Konongo Odumase Senior High School say it is disappointed with the latest court ruling discharging three out of four accomplices linked to the murder of their son.

The suspects were arrested on 6 November after the deceased Larhan Sam’un died of stab wounds during a scuffle on campus.

Three of the four accused persons were discharged by the Konongo District Court on Monday (6 December) following the Attorney General’s (AG) advice through prosecution.

The Attorney General is expected to transfer the case to a High Court after prima facie evidence was established against the prime suspect, who has since been remanded into a juvenile cell.

Speaking to Asaase News on the latest development, the uncle of the deceased, Abubakar Laminu said they are not convinced that justice would be served.

“We are not happy with what transpired today (6 December), how can the court let go the people who killed our son, letting three of the suspects go without any punishment. I gave up on the hopes of getting justice. I’m not convinced when the court said the suspects being discharged doesn’t mean they are being freed,’’ Laminu added
