Committee chairman Shot 18 Year Boy at sefwi Danyame

One Peter Kwala who is a mechanic engineer and his workers (team) went to sefwi Danyame -Kotosaa a sub community in the Juaboso District for fishing with a water pump machine.

According to the Assemblyman of the electoral area Hon.Paul Gyabeng, says he went to the place where they were fishing early Saturday 19/1/2019 morning around 7:00am and told Peter Kwala and his team to stop what they are doing because it is illegal but they gave death ears to him. After he had given them the advice to stop fishing, Mr Peter Kwala and his team came in the evening around 7:30pm. But this time round, it was the unit committee chairman, Hon John Acquah he called the Assemblyman that there are some people fishing from river Fue. But when Hon Paul came it was Peter Kwala and his team excluding his female secretary again.

“Truly, when I got there I saw Mr John Acquah holding a gun with an aim of picking some if the machine as an evidence for the police. But a team member of Peter decided not to allow him to take the machine so he was pushed and the chairman also reacted the same way. The chairman ordered one of the guys he went with to take their machine. Strugglely, there was an unexpected gunshot from the Chairman straight to one of his guys, Oliver Mensah, 18 years to death. The boy is my nephew” Hon. Paul Gyabeng said.

The District Police Commander, DSP Isaac Kumnipa confirmed the issue but says it is still under police investigation.

The body has been deposited  at the Juaboso Government hospital morgue pending autopsy.
