27-year-old trained teacher commits suicide by hanging herself with a sponge at Assin Fosu.

A 27-year-old trained teacher known as Catherine Ansah has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a sponge at Assin Fosu in the Central Region.

The heart-rending incident reportedly occurred near the Latter Day Saint Church in Assin Fosu. The name of the school, where she taught before her unexpected death and other information about her are yet to emerge.

According to an eyewitness Kofi Debrah,who disclosed the sad incident in an interview with brightwebtv.com  indicated that, the family realized that it was unusual for her to be out of her room in the morning, and so they called her phone several times, but she was not answering.

Adding that, they searched everywhere in the room where she slept but their search proved nothing.

The cause of her action is currently not known

Police in Assin Fosu have since initiated an investigation.

Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital morgue in Assin Foso for autopsy.
