BEGGARS TAKE OVER THE STREETS OF KWAME NKRUMAH CIRCLE TO MAKE A LIVING.

The rate at which beggars and people living on the streets of one of the most popular and busiest place in Ghana has brought a whole lot of issues to everyone.

It is known all over the nation that there are beggars everywhere but it cannot be compared to the ones found in Kwame Nkrumah circle. These beggars who are believed to have come from other countries have made the streets their home.
Teenagers, grown ups and even kids tend to beg for money especially from people they come across on the streets either by harassing you for what they want or simply steal it from you.
Workers and traders at circle always complain of the filth these beggars leave on the streets and their various places of trade.

Express news team hit the street of circle to interview some people,they mentioned that they always come and sweep faeces and filth in front of their shops each morning and at times had to drag beggars who sleep there at night just to open up their shop”. Others like pedestrains, students, workers and passer-byers also shared their views and fear of using the streets of circle each day.

Everyone is calling on the government to find a place for these beggars and create a job for them in other for those trading and the passer-byers to have their peace of mind and move freely without being harrassed or being robbed.
