Asokwa Court remands Suame Constituency NDC Youth organizer

 

The Asokwa Circuit Court has remanded the Constituency youth organizer for the National Democratic Congress NDC, Razak Kuampa Avoliya into police custody  for allegedly inciting violence.

The suspect is scheduled to appear before the court again on February 14,2023.

The NDC executive has been charged with offensive behavior.

The court presided over by  His Honour Fred Obikyire on Thursday February 9, 2033, did no take the plea of the accused.

Hundreds of party faithfuls thronged to the court’s premises to support the accused.

Lawyer of the accused, Evans Amankwaah in an interview with OTEC News’ Jacob Agyenim Boateng after the court proceedings expressed worry over how the court denied a bail application he raised for his client.

He added that, although they are not happy with the court’s decision, they have option that to kowtow now and see if their bail application will be  accepted at the next adjourned dated.

Background

The Ashanti Regional Police Command on Wednesday February 8,2023 arrested the Suspect  for inciting political violence.

The youth organiser in an interview with Oyerapa allegedly incited political violence by claiming he is ready to kill two people to win power for the NDC in the 2024 general polls.
